How to Participate in Asheville |
|
The Digital Lead Teachers and Media Coordinators at the Asheville City Elementary Schools have teamed up to organize events at their individual schools that will culminate in a citywide event in October. You can plug into what we're putting together for the citywide event, or you can participate in whatever way that makes sense for you, your family, your neighborhood or your school!
Cardboard Challenge in Asheville Schools
Asheville City Elementary Schools are working together to bring the Cardboard Challenge to their students.
Fourth and fifth graders in each school will have the opportunity to design and build interactive games out of cardboard. Judges will select the best games at each school to be part of a citywide public event in October.

Ways to Participate in the Global Cardboard Challenge
Build & CreateWatch 'Caine’s Arcade' to get inspired, then build something awesome out of cardboard, recycled materials and imagination. Do it anywhere – schools, backyards, parking lots, libraries – just make sure there’s lots of room for creativity!
|
Celebrate A Day of PlayThe Global Cardboard Challenge occurred on Oct. 1, a day of play (commemorating the flash mob that came out to make Caine’s day in the short film). Invite family, friends and the community to Asheville's community-wide event to celebrate our children's creativity on November 5
